The Northwest Missouri State soccer team will be in action at home this week on Friday and Sunday.

The Bearcats (2-2-2) will celebrate Senior Day Friday against Missouri Southern (0-5-1) at 3 p.m. The Bearcats will honor seniors Teagan Blackburn, Kaylie Rock, Atiana Stratman, Maddie Taylor and Grace Wineinger. The Bearcats have a 19-10 overall record against the Lions with winning the past seven matches. Northwest Missouri State won its last matchup 3-0 in 2022.

Northwest will open MIAA play Sunday against Central Missouri at 1 p.m.  The Bearcats will look to bounce back against the Jennies. UCM scored a 2-0 victory over the Bearcats last weekend in Warrensburg, Mo.

The Bearcats will also host a fundraiser for Beckett's Warriors during Sunday's match. This match will be considered a Gold Out, in recognition of childhood cancer awareness month. T-shirts will be sold at Bearcat Pitch and all funds will be donated to Hope4ATRT.

Northwest is ranked No. 7 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Central Region poll.
