BROKEN ARROW, Ok. - The Northwest Missouri State women's golf team set a new 36-hole school record Tuesday at the 24th NSU Women's Classic held at The Club at Indian Springs - River Course in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.Â
The Bearcats tallied a second round 306 (+18) which is tied for the second best single round team score in program history. Northwest posted a two-round score of 618 (+42) which is good for a new school record defeating the old record of 621 set last spring.Â
Northwest started the day in ninth but made the jump to seventh in the final round.
Madilyne Schlaepfer finished tied for 23rd, the Junior from Gering, Nebraska carded rounds of 79 and 75 (+10).
Elly Speece carded a second round 77 (+5) and a two-round total of 154 (+10) to finish tied for 23rd.
Paige Hoffman finished tied for 31st after a final round 77 (+5). Hoffman carded rounds of 78 and 77 to finish (+11) for the tournament.Â
Lauren Wood also carded a final round 77 (+5) to finish tied for 44th.
The Bearcats are back in action Sept. 18th and 19th in Bolivar, Missouri at The Lady Panther Fall Invite.
