Track and field heads to Jefferson City, Mo., for MIAA Outdoor Championships

The Northwest Missouri State University track and field team is headed to Jefferson City, Mo., where athletes will compete in the 2023 MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Lincoln University is the host for this year's competition.

Friday, May 5 – Sunday, May 7

The start time for Friday's events is 2 p.m. The start for Saturday's events is set for 10 a.m., and Sunday's is set for 10:30 a.m.

Tickets are available at www.LUBlueTigers.com/Tickets.
Admission will cost $10 per day for adults, with multi-day passes available for $15.
Children aged 3-17 and seniors will be able to purchase tickets for $5 per day while kids under the age of three will receive free admission.

All three days of the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be streamed on The MIAA Network and can be viewed at www.TheMIAANetwork.com/LUBlueTigers. The streaming cost for each day is $10, unless viewers purchase the monthly pass, which costs $25.
 
As of May 2, the Bearcat women are ranked No. 9 in Division II outdoor track and field.

NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifying List – Women
100 Meters
Ally Hammond posted a time of 11.76 at the ESU Relays. Kennedi Cline clocked in at 11.85 at the ESU Relays as well.
 
200 Meters
At the Pacific Coast Invitational, Kennedi Cline earned a time of 23.94, Chloe Saenz recorded a time of 24.29, and Tiffany Hughey earned a time of 24.30. Luisarys Toledo clocked in at 24.04 at the Bearcat Tune up.
 
400 Meters
Luisarys Toledo crossed the finish line in 53.33 at the Pacific Coast Invitational. At the Bearcat Tune up, Tiffany Hughey posted a time of 53.67. At the Bryan Clay Invite, Kennedi Cline came in at 54.05, and Chloe Saenz finished with a time of 54.86.
 
800 Meters
Luisarys Toledo scored a time of 2:07.78, Bailey Blake had a time of 2:09.15, and Kaylee Harp came in at 2:09.42. All times were earned at the Bryan Clay Invite.
 
5000 Meter Run
Caroline Cunningham recorded a time of 16:53.58 at the Bryan Clay Invite.
 
100 Hurdles
Sarah Prickett ran the race in 14.11 at the Pacific Coast Invitational.
 
400 Hurdles
Jaedy Commins ran a time of 1:00.82 at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Olivia Sattlefield ran a time of 1:01.01 at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate.
 
3000 Steeplechase
Caroline Cunningham finished the event in 10:31.87 at the Drake Relays.
 
4x100 Relay
The team of Lexie Gilbert, Tiffany Hughey, Kennedi Cline, and Ally Hammond posted a school record breaking time of 45.86 at the Bearcat Tune up. The team of Reese Brown, Kennedi Cline, Lexie Gilbert, and Ally Hammond posted a school record in the event crossing the finish line in 46.45 at the ESU Relays.
 
4x400 Relay
The relay team of Chloe Saenz, Luisarys Toledo, Kennedi Cline, and Tiffany Hughey finished the race with a blazing time of 3:35.51 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
The relay team consisting of Kennedi Cline, Bailey Blake, Olivia Sattlefield, and Tiffany Hughey recorded a time of 3:42.24 at the SBU Invite. Another team of Chloe Saenz, Jaedy Commins, Kaylee Harp, and Luisarys Toledo clocked in with a time of 3:42.66, also at the SBU Invite. At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Olivia Sattlefield, Jaedy Commins, Bailey Blake and Kaylee Harp recorded a time of 3:44.17.
 
Long Jump
Luisarys Toledo recorded a jump of 20' 1" (6.12m) at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
Heptathlon
Anna Gladstone earned a total of 4580 points in the heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifying List – Men
100 Meters
Joel Dos Santos posted a school record in the event as he clocked in at 10.37 at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate.
 
200 Meters
Joel Dos Santos clocked in at 21.07 at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and Enrico Cavagna clocked in at 21.20 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
400 Meters
Prince Griffin earned a time of 46.73 at the Bearcat Tune up, and R.J. Williams posted a time of 47.21.
 
5000 Meters
Reece Smith finished the race with a time of 13:50.79 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
10,000 Meters
Drew Atkins recorded a time of 30:06.57 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
400 Hurdles
Danny Jantzen ran the 400 hurdles in 53.01 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
3000 Steeplechase
Reece Smith posted the fastest Division II time of the season in the 3000 Steeplechase as he clocked in with a time of 8:38.68 at the Drake Relays. At the Bryan Clay Invite, Jake Norris recorded a time of 9:10.67.
 
4x100 Relay
The team of Dominic Sedlacek, Joel Dos Santos, R.J. Williams, and Enrico Cavagna clocked in at 40.34 at the Bryan Clay Invitational. At the Bearcat Tune up, Dominic Sedlacek, Joel Dos Santos, Prince Griffin, and Enrico Cavagna earned a time of 40.38.
 
High Jump
Blake Morgan cleared a height of 6' 9" (2.06m) at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate.
 
Triple Jump
Kemuel Sloan jumped a mark of 48' 7.25" (14.81m) at the SBU Invite.
 
Javelin
Dakota Schmidt threw a distance of 210' 11" (64.28m) at the ESU Midwest Classic.
