EUREKA, Mo. – Northwest Missouri State University sophomore
Paige Hoffman wrapped up play in the 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship with a final round score of 78 at Fox Run Golf Club.
Hoffman tallied round scores of 80, 74 and 78 for a three-day total of 232. Hoffman finished in a tie for No. 59 out of 98 competitors.
She went out on Thursday with six pars, a bogey and a double bogey for an opening-nine score of 39 (+3).
Hoffman battled through three bogeys on the back-nine to post a birdie on the par-3 No. 17 hole. It was her first birdie of the day and third of the tournament. Hoffman posted 65 total birdies in her 2022-23 season. Hoffman recorded a bogey on the par-5 No. 18 hole to complete her championship performance with a 39 on the back-side.
Hoffman was credited with 35 pars to tie for 10th for the most pars in the three-round event.
She completed her first season as a Bearcat holding a handful of records including most rounds played (30), lowest single-season stroke average (75.43), most single-season top-10 finishes (11), lowest single-round score (68) and lowest two-round score (144). Hoffman scored in the 60s or 70s in 26 of her 30 rounds this season.
