Bearcat softball treks to Oklahoma as they compete against Northeastern State and Rogers State

The Northwest Missouri State softball squad will head to Oklahoma for a pair of doubleheaders against Northeastern State and Rogers State.

The Bearcats enter weekend play with an overall record of 20-16 and an MIAA record of 5-7.
 
NSU is 20-15 overall, 2-8 in conference play.
 
Rogers State is 27-6 overall, 6-4 in league play. The No. 8 ranked Hillcats are the defending National Champions from the 2022 season.
 
Northwest is ranked ninth in the conference standings, Northeastern State is ranked 12th, and Rogers State is ranked fourth.
 
Northwest and RSU are tied for fourth in the MIAA in team batting average at .313.
 
Pitcher Jadyn Streigle ranks No. 6 in the league in inning pitched as she has logged 95.2 innings so far this season. Streigle ranks No. 9 in wins with 10 this season.
 
Breck Dickey currently ranks 10th in the MIAA in batters struck out with 65.
 
Olivia Daugherty leads the 'Cats in hitting with a batting average of .421, which is seventh best in the conference. Daugherty also ranks second in home runs (11), second in RBIs (41), third in slugging percentage (.788), third in OPS (1.261), third in hits (50), and fourth in at bats (118).
 
Omara Love has the second best batting average on the team at .384, which is ranked No. 10 in the MIAA. Love ranks No. 7 in hits with 45 and No. 8 in at bats with 116.
 
Lillie Filger leads the conference in at bats with 124 and ranks fifth in hits with 47.
 
Skylar Pieper ranks No. 4 in doubles with 12 and No. 8 in runs scored with 31.
