The No. 15-ranked Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis captured the program's third straight and 23rd overall trip to the NCAA Tournament.
 
The Bearcats earned the No. 1 seed in the Central Region and will take on No. 4-seeded Southeastern Oklahoma State University (11-9 overall) in the NCAA Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maryville, Mo. The winner of Saturday's match will advance to the Sweet 16 at the USTA National Campus (Collegiate Center) in Orlando, Fla., on May 11-15.
 
Northwest is led by 29-time MIAA Coach of the Year Mark Rosewell. Rosewell and the Bearcats produced a season mark of 14-6 that included the MIAA/GAC North Division title.
 
This year's Bearcat team is led by three-time MIAA Player of the Year Andrea Zamurri. Zamurri, ranked No. 12 in the latest ITA national rankings, has 10 singles wins this season, including eight at No. 1 singles. Zamurri has teamed up with Fillippo Piranomonte to tally an 11-3 mark in doubles action.
 
Senior Michael Delebois is ranked No. 45 in the men's singles rankings. Delebois has registered 13 singles wins and 10 doubles victories this season.
 
Senior Fabien Calloud is ranked No. 65 in the nation. Calloud has a career singles mark of 73-30 and a doubles record of 70-33. His 73 singles wins rank as the sixth-best total in school history. Calloud's 70 doubles victories also rank as the sixth-most in program history. Calloud's combined singles/doubles wins total of 143 is tied for the fifth-most in Northwest's history.
 
Co-MIAA Freshman of the Year Jan Skerbatis leads the team with 17 doubles wins. He ranks tied for third with 12 singles victories.
 
Mason Meier has produced a singles mark of 12-6 and he has tallied 15 doubles victories. Meier is 6-2 at No. 5 singles. Meier is in the midst of a five-match win streak in singles.
 
Simon Birgerson has also reached double-figures in wins in singles (11). Birgerson is 9-2 at No. 6 singles.
 
Northwest has advanced out of the regional round 10 times in 1995, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2021.
 
Northwest last served as an NCAA regional host in 2017.
