Bearcat softball closes out regular season road games with matchups at Missouri Southern and at Pittsburg State

The Northwest Missouri State University softball team will close out its regular season road trips as they trek to Joplin, Mo., and Pittsburg, Kan. for doubleheaders Friday and Saturday.

Missouri Southern is currently at the top of this week's MIAA standings with a 31-8 overall record and a 16-2 conference record. In the MIAA, the Lions have one loss to Lincoln and one loss to Emporia State. The Bearcats split last year's double header with MSSU on April 26.
 
Pittsburg State ranks ninth in the league with a 23-17 overall record and an 8-10 MIAA record. Northwest has won four straight games against the Gorillas.
 
Northwest is 11th in the standings as the team comes in at 24-20 overall and 7-11 in league play.

Lillie Filger leads the conference in at bats with 149 and ranks eighth in hits with 52.
 
Olivia Daugherty ranks fifth in hits (53), fifth in home runs (10), sixth in OPS (1.161), sixth in RBIs (39), seventh in slugging percentage (.704), and ninth in batting average (.393).
 
Omara Love is No. 9 in hits with 52.
 
Jadyn Streigle ranks eighth in innings pitched as she has gone 113.1 innings.
 
Breck Dickey is 10th in batters struck out with 85.

Skylar Pieper leads the Bearcats in doubles this season as she has 11. Omara Love and Olivia Daugherty are just behind her with 10 apiece.
