Bearcat track and field looks forward to competing in three different meets this week

The Northwest Missouri State track and field team looks forward to a busy week with athletes competing in three different meets. Two of the meets are in California and one meet is in Kansas.

The Pacific Coast Intercollegiate is taking place at Jack Rose Track in Long Beach, Cali., Thursday, April 13. The Bryan Clay Invite is in Azusa, Cali., and is being held at Cougar Athletic Stadium from Thursday, April 13 – Saturday, April 15. The Kansas Relays are in Lawrence, Kan., at Rock Chalk Park and will also be held Thursday, April 13 – Saturday, April 15.
 
NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifying List – Women
100 Meters
Ally Hammond posted a time of 11.76 at the ESU Relays. Kennedi Cline clocked in at 11.85 at the ESU Relays as well.
 
200 Meters
Kennedi Cline earned a time of 24.23 at the SBU Invite, and Tiffany Hughey earned a time of 24.34 at the SBU Invite as well.
 
400 Meters
Luisarys Toledo crossed the finish line in 54.36 at the SBU Invitational.
 
400 Hurdles
Olivia Sattlefield ran a time of 1:01.57 and Jaedy Commins was just behind her at 1:01.89. Both times came at the ESU Relays.
 
4x100 Relay
The team of Lexie Gilbert, Tiffany Hughey, Kennedi Cline, and Ally Hammond posted a school record breaking time of 45.95 at the SBU Invite. The team of Reese Brown, Kennedi Cline, Lexie Gilbert, and Ally Hammond posted a school record in the event crossing the finish line in 46.45 at the ESU Relays.
 
4x400 Relay
The relay team consisting of Kennedi Cline, Bailey Blake, Olivia Sattlefield, and Tiffany Hughey recorded a time of 3:42.24 at the SBU Invite. Another team of Chloe Saenz, Jaedy Commins, Kaylee Harp, and Luisarys Toledo clocked in with a time of 3:42.66, also at the SBU Invite.
 
NCAA Division II Provisional Qualifying List – Men
100 Meters
Joel Dos Santos posted a school record in the event as he clocked in at 10.39 at the ESU Relays.
 
3000 Steeplechase
Reece Smith posted a time of 9:05.94 at the CSU Pueblo Spank Blasing Invitational.
 
4x100 Relay
The team of Dominic Sedlacek, Joel Dos Santos, R.J. Williams, and Enrico Cavagna clocked in at 40.40 at the SBU Invite.
 
Triple Jump
Kemuel Sloan jumped a mark of 48' 7.25" (14.81m) at the SBU Invite.
 
Javelin
Dakota Schmidt threw a distance of 204' 8" (62.39m) at the SBU Invite.
