Bearcat baseball travels to Pittsburg, Kan. due to weather for three game series

The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team continues MIAA play with a three-game series with Pittsburg State. It was originally scheduled to be a home series in Maryville, Missouri but was moved to Pittsburg, Kansas due to inclement weather in Maryville. Northwest will still be the home team on the scoreboard for all three games.
 
Northwest enters the weekend with a 3-14 record, 1-5 in MIAA play after taking one of three from Missouri Southern last weekend at home.

Pittsburg State enters the weekend with a 12-6 record, 4-2 in MIAA play.

Starter Zach Wiese holds a 1-2 record with a 4.13 ERA in 24.0 innings of work.
 
Alex Slocum has struck out a team best 23 hitters in 26.2 innings of work, Slocum holds a 4.05 ERA.
 
Jacob Gajic holds a team best 2.89 ERA in 9.1 innings, opposing hitters are hitting .216.
 
The Bearcat pitching staff has a conference low 53 free passes.
 
Senior pitcher Max Spitzmiller moved to third all-time in program history in innings pitched following his 7.0 inning performance last weekend vs. Missouri Southern.
 
Spitzmiller is also fourth all time in career strikeouts in program history.
