Northwest Missouri State University sophomore Tyffaine Pais has been honored as this week's MIAA Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.
 
Pais, a native of Wattrelos, France, keyed a 4-3 dual win over No. 19-ranked Washburn with victories in singles and doubles.
 
Pais scored a three-set victory at No. 2 singles over No. 19-ranked Maja Jung that allowed the Bearcats to score a road dual win. Pais tallied a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Jung on Saturday in Topeka, Kan.
 
Pais paired up with Angela Per Moreno to score a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
 
Pais is ranked No. 30 in the latest ITA singles rankings. She holds a singles mark of 11-1 this spring at No. 2 singles.
