Topeka, Kan. – The Northwest Missouri State track and field team took to the road for the Washburn Mid-Week Challenge in Topeka Kansas.

Kaylee Harp,
Lydia McGlocklin,
Bailey Blake, and
Alyna Thibault finished one through four in the women's 800-meter run. Harp took first and set a school and meet record with a time of 2:09.43 breaking the mark set last weekend. That ranks third best in the nation. McGlocklin and Blake both posted a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time, McGlocklin ran a personal best 2:11.92 which moves her into fourth all time in program history.

Ally Hammond finished second in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 8.75. Hammond also finished second in the women's 60-meter dash with a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time of 7.60.

Truman Hare finished in second in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 47.98 which is fourth best all time in program history and a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying mark. It also ranks 11th best in the nation.

Chloe Saenz took the title and set a new meet record in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 55.10 which is a personal best and fourth best in program history and fourth best in the nation.

Shelby Butterfield finished third in the women's long jump with a jump of 18-01.50. (5.52m)

Kaitlin Peek took the title in the women's weight throw with a throw of 51-02.25. (15.60m)

Blake Morgan posted a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying jump of 6-08.25 (2.04m) in the men's high jump.

David Hipshire finished second in the men's weight throw with a throw of 54-06.00 (16.61m). Hipshire also finished second in the men's shot put with a throw of 50-01.25 (15.27m).

Quinn Weakley finished in second in the women's shot put with a throw of 40-10.50 (12.46m) which Is seventh best in program history.
Northwest will be back on the track tomorrow, once again at Washburn and at Pittsburg State.
