PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Northwest Missouri State men's and women's indoor track and field teams had a day of record breaking performances on the final day of the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The women finished second in the meet with 130 points and the men finished fifth with 61.50 points.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team of
Chloe Saenz,
Kennedi Cline,
Olivia Sattlefield, and
Tiffany Hughey blasted a new school record as well as a MIAA indoor record as they clocked in at 3:41.44. This is currently the third fastest in the nation and an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time.

Luisarys Toledo finished first overall in the women's 600 yard run as she earned a time of 1:19.66 and set all kinds of new records. This is a facility record, MIAA indoor record, school record, and a new NCAA Div. II all-conditions best. Toledo beat the previous best of 1:21.45 that was set last year.

R.J. Williams followed Toledo's steps as he placed first in the men's 600 yard run with a blazing time of 1:09.82, which also set a handful of new records. This time is a new MIAA indoor record, school record, and personal record.
Federico Crisci finished fourth overall in the event coming in at 1:12.09.

In the women's 800 meter run,
Bailey Blake finished first recording a time of 2:10.50, and
Kaylee Harp finished second with a time of 2:11.43.
Lydia McGlocklin placed sixth as she crossed the finish in 2:14.01. All three times are NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying times.

Tiffany Hughey finished second in the women's 200 meter dash as she tied a personal best with a time of 24.20.
Kennedi Cline came in sixth with a new personal best of 24.46 which moves her to No. 4 in school history, and
Luisarys Toledo came in seventh clocking in at 24.90. Hughey and Cline both posted NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying times.

Joel Dos Santos earned a second place finish in the men's 200 meter dash as he recorded a time of 21.34 which is a new personal best and moves him to No. 2 in the Northwest record books in the event. This is also an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time.

Amber Owens took seventh in the women's 3,000 meter run as she ran a time of 10:11.90.

Reece Smith earned a second place finish in the men's 3,000 meter run as he finished with a time of 8:00.96. This is an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time and blows away his previous school record by nearly ten seconds.

Jaedy Commins placed sixth in the women's 600 yard run (1:25.70) and
Haley Luna placed eighth (1:25.93).

Northwest took first, second, and third in the women's 400 meter dash.
Tiffany Hughey placed first with a  time of 54.18,
Kennedi Cline placed second in 54.88, and
Chloe Saenz placed third in 55.07. All three times are NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying times. Cline and Saenz both posted new personal bests.

Prince Griffin finished sixth in the men's 400 meter dash coming in at 47.76. This time is a new personal best and is now the second fastest in school history.

The Bearcat women had two top-10 finishers in the women's mile with
Alyna Thibault placing third overall with a time of 5:00.03.

Ally Hammond earned third place in the women's 60 meter dash crossing the finish in 7.46 which is an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying time. Hammond took sixth in the women's 60 meter hurdles as she recorded a time of 8.64.

Joel Dos Santos placed fourth in the men's 60 meter dash earning a time of 6.77 which is a new personal best and also the second best time in school history.
Dominic Sedlacek finished just behind in fifth place clocking in at 6.84 and is also a personal best. Both times are NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying times.

Zach Pittman, and
Zac Anderson placed ninth overall with a time of 3:21.11.

David Hipshire finished eighth overall in the men's shot put with a throw of 52' 9.5" (16.09m).

Quinn Weakley placed seventh in the women's shot put with a throw of 43' 8.75" (13.33m) which puts her at No. 8 in school history.

Kemuel Sloan came in ninth in the men's triple jump with a distance of 46' 2.75" (14.09m).
