TOPEKA, Kan. – The Northwest Missouri State softball squad secured its fifth win of the ESU Classic with a 4-2 victory over Quincy.

The 'Cats went 5-1 during the ESU Classic and improved their overall record to 6-4.

With Northwest down 1-0 in the bottom of the third, the 'Cats got the bases loaded. On a wild pitch,
Avery Anderson was able to score and tie the game at 1-1.

Quincy was able to retake the lead in the top of the fifth after scoring one run, but Northwest had a quick answer as
Lillie Filger scored off a
Skylar Pieper hit down the right field line in the bottom of the inning.

During the following at bat with the score tied up at 2-2,
Aubrey Griffith recorded a double to left center that scored
Skylar Pieper and
Omara Love to give Northwest its first lead of the contest at 4-2.

In the sixth, Quincy went three up, three down with
Jadyn Streigle recording a strikeout in the inning.

Streigle allowed one hit in the seventh while also tallying another strikeout.
Â
The Bearcats took a 4-2 victory over Quincy to earn their third straight win.

Jadyn Streigle got the win going all seven innings allowing two runs, seven hits, and tallying seven strikeouts.
