Bearcat T&F compete in Crimson & Gold Invitational

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The Northwest Missouri State track and field teams took part in the Crimson and Gold Invitational at the Robert W. Plaster Center. 

Field Events
(M) High Jump:
Mason Dobbins placed 15th clearing a height of 6'4.65". 

(W) Shot put: Senior Quinn Weakley placed 25th with a throw of 38' 0".

(M) Triple Jump: Drew Beachler came in seventh place with a jump of 46' 3". 

Running Events
(M) 5000m run:
Sophomore Drew Atkins finished 10th in the 5000 meter run with time of 14:40.11. 

(W) Mile: Alyna Thibault earned a second place finish with a time of 4:59.65.

(W) 300m: 'Cats place three in the top five in the 300 meter dash. Tiffany Hughey took the top spot with a time of 38.64. Hughey's time set a new fieldhouse, meet, and school record. Luisarys Toledo came in right behind Hughey in second with a time of 38.76. Junior Chloe Saenz came in fourth place with a new career-best time of 39.19. 

(W) 60mH: Ally Hammond beats her previous Division II Provisional time set at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic on Dec. 2 with a time of 8.63 today in the 60 meter hurdles. Hammond's time earned her a fourth-place medal in the event. Hannah Hatzenbuehler ran a time of 9.22, marking her in 18th place. 

(M) 60mH: Freshman Mason Dobbins ran a time of 8.43 to take the 33rd spot in the 60 meter hurdles. Teammate Vashon Riggins came out with a 40th place finish with a time of 8.56. 

(W) 60m: Ally Hammond came in 18th place with a time of 7.70 in the 60 meter dash. Junior Lexie Gilbert ran a 7.89 to claim the 37th place spot. 

(M) 60m: A pair of Bearcats earned a Division II Provisional time in the 60 meter dash. Dominic Sedlacek earned an eighth place medal with a new career-best time of 6.82. Sedlacek's time climbs to fifth in Bearcat history in the event. Junior Joel Dos Santos earned a 13th place finish with a time of 6.85. 

(W) 400m: Kaylee Harp led the Bearcats in the event. Harp recorded an eighth place finish with a time of 56.68, which is a Division II Provisional time. Jaedy Commins and Jadyn Barnes finished back-to-back in the 17 and 18 spots. Commins recorded a time of 57.74 and Barnes with a 57.94. Junior Bailey Blake ran a 59.46, earning her a 31st place finish. 

(M) 400m: Prince Griffin continues to be dominant in the 400 meter event as he recorded a fourth-place finish with a time of 47.87. Griffin beat his previous time of 48.24 to reach another Division II Provisional mark. Danny Jantzen came in 19th place with a time of 49.55. 

(M) 800m: Maxime Touron was the lone Bearcat in the event and placed fourth with a time of 1:52.78. 

(W) 600y: Haley Luna placed fourth with a time of 1:25.85. 

(M) 600y: Sophomore Logan Arellano nearly breaks the fieldhouse and meet record, but comes up two tenths short. Arellano took home the 600 yard dash crown with a blistering time of 1:11.81. Arellano's time is a new career-best in the event and bumps up to No. 8 in Bearcat history. 

(M) 200m: Joel Dos Santos finished fourth with a new NCAA Provisional time of 21.57. 

(W) 4X400m: Both relay teams finished in the top three. The quartet of Chloe Saenz, Jaedy Commins, Bailey Blake, and Tiffany Hughey came in second place recording a Division II Provisional time of 3:45.02, in which a new meet record. Lincoln's 4x400 meter relay team topped that time. Northwest's "B" team placed third with a time of 3:45.86, also earning a Division II Provisional time. This team featured Jadyn Barnes, Kaylee Harp, Haley Luna, and Luisarys Toledo
