NORTHWEST VS AUGUSTANA
In recent history, Augustana leads the all-time series 7-3. The most recent match up came on Nov. 13, 2015, with the Vikings coming out with an 89-52 win. The last time Northwest played Augustana at home was back in 2004.
SCOUTING THE VIKINGS
The Vikings come into Tuesday's contest with an overall record of 1-8, 1-6 in the Northern Sun conference. Augustana picked up their only win against Sioux Falls, 73-56. The Vikings are coming off of a loss against Southwest Minnesota State, 76-66.
Augustana has three players averaging double-figures on the season.
Michaela Jewett leads the Vikings in scoring with 16 PPG, also securing 7.1 rebounds per contest. Lauren Sees is averaging 13.4 PPG and Jennifer Aadland rounds out at 10.6 PPG.
Kenzie Rensch has piled up a team-high 17 steals so far this season. The Vikings have 62 total steals.
As a team, the Vikings average 60.3 PPG while allowing 68.8 PPG from opposing teams.

SEASON STATISTICS
Northwest is averaging 70.8 PPG on the offensive end which ranks seventh in the MIAA. Augustana averages 60.3 PPG, well below Northwest's.
Jayna Green, week after week, continues to be a defensive menace in the paint averaging 1.82 blocks per game. Green's total blocks (20) rank second in the MIAA and 24th across all Div. II. As a team, Northwest sits third in the MIAA and 51st in the nation in blocks per contest.
Northwest is shooting 76 percent from the charity stripe ranking them second in the MIAA behind Missouri Southern (80.2 percent).
Molly Hartnett claims the top spot in the category shooting 92.1 percent from the free-throw line.
Kelsey Fields continues to attack the offensive glass with 3.6 offensive rebounds a game, which ranks her third in the MIAA, and 42nd nationally.
KELDERMAN THREE BALL
Despite only making one three-pointer against Emporia State, the three-ball isn't anything to sleep on. Lindsey and
Peyton Kelderman have made their marks this season from beyond the arc. Lindsey ranks sixth in the MIAA in three-pointers made (21) and Peyton has made 16 thus far in the season.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK
Northwest has been taking care of the ball and not having unforced turnovers become a disadvantage. The Bearcats are only averaging 12.5 turnovers a game which leads the MIAA and ranks 12th in the nation.

Last week (Dec. 12), the Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team was receiving votes in the WBCA poll. The Bearcats have been receiving votes for the second week in a row.
