LARCHWOOD, Ia. - The Northwest Missouri State women's golf team took to the course for round one of the USF Invitational held at The Falls at Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, Iowa. Northwest posted the second best 18-hole team score in program history, tallying an opening round 300 (+12).
Northwest is currently tied for first with Augustana after one round of play and is four shots ahead of Winona State and Sioux Falls. Northwest was second in the field with 57 total pars.
Paige Hoffman and
Madilyne Schlaepfer led the Bearcats with an opening round 74 (+2) and are currently tied for seventh.Â
Elly Speece carded an opening round 75 (+3) and is tied for 14th.
Lauren Wood is tied for 20th after an opening round 77 (+5).Â
Kylie Carey posted an opening round 81 (+9) and is currently tied for 39th.
Northwest will look to capture its first team title since 2019 with round two starting tomorrow morning.
