The Northwest Missouri State University soccer team is set to finish up the regular season for its four-game away slate, starting with two contests with conference foes Northeastern State and Rogers State this weekend.
Northwest is in a three-way tie for fifth place in the MIAA standings with nine points. Northwest is tied with Missouri Western and one of this week's opponents Rogers State. The top eight teams qualify for the MIAA Tournament. The top four seeds will play host to a quarterfinal match.

On Friday, the Bearcats (5-4-5 overall, 2-2-3 MIAA) will travel to Tahlequah, Okla., to take on the Northeastern State Riverhawks at 7 p.m. The RiverHawks are 4-6-4 overall and 2-4-1 in MIAA play. In previous history, Northeastern State holds the all-time series record at 10-5-1 against the Bearcats. Although, the last matchup in 2022 resulted in a 1-0 victory for Northwest in Maryville.
On Sunday, Northwest will continue its trek in Oklahoma by taking on Rogers State (6-6-2 overall, 3-4-0 MIAA) at 1 p.m. Northwest holds the all-time series record against the Hillcats, 3-0. Northwest came out with a 2-1 victory in their last matchup in 2022.
As a team, Northwest is second in the MIAA in total shots (217), tied for second in points (25), tied for second in goals scored (25), tied for second in points (18) and third in assists (19). Northwest has 112 total shots on-goal, (8.00) per game, which ranks them at the top of the MIAA this season.
Individually,
Kaylie Rock is third in the MIAA in shots taken (45) tied for third in goals (7), tied for second in game-winning goals (3), second in shots on-goal (24).
Ximena Arnau and Rock are tied for third overall in the MIAA in assists with four a piece.
Lucia Fernandez took home the MIAA Defensive Athlete of the week award, while Rock took home the MIAA Offensive Player of the week.
