The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team will wrap up the home portion of its 2023 schedule with matchups against Newman and Central Oklahoma.

Northwest (3-4-5, 0-2-3 MIAA) will battle Newman (2-9-1, 1-4 in MIAA) on Friday at 3 p.m. in its annual Pink Out game. The Bearcats lead the all-time series with Newman 5-2-1 with the last match coming in 2022 that played into the Bearcats favor, 1-0.  

On Sunday, at 1 p.m. Central Oklahoma (4-3-5, 1-1-3 MIAA) will make the trip to Bearcat Pitch. Central Oklahoma leads the all-time series 8-2-1. In their last meeting on Oct. 9, 2022, UCO took the win in Edmond, 2-0. 

Northwest broke out of a five-match scoring slump with a pair of draws against Emporia State (2-2) and Washburn (1-1). Northwest had endured a scoreless stretch of 353 minutes before Ashton Dain found the net for her first career goal at the 16:40 mark of the 2-2 draw with Emporia State. 

Kaylie Rock leads the team in goals (4), assists (3), points (10), and total shots (34). Ximena Arnau is also tied for the team lead in assists with three, which ranks her eighth in the MIAA, tied with teammate Kaylie Rock. Goalkeeper Lily Ellis needs one more shutout to tie the career shutout record at Northwest.
