The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team hits the road this week to take on the Central Oklahoma Bronchos followed by the Newman Jets.

Northwest has won four of the last five contests between the Bronchos and has won all three of the all-time matchups against the Jets.

Northwest enters the matchup with a record of 7-7 overall and 2-6 in MIAA play.
The Bearcat women are 3-and-0 against the Bronchos in Edmond, Okla., since 2019.

The Bearcats have faced offensive struggles since early December, but at the same time, the defensive output has still been solid, allowing just 58.8 points over their last nine games. That includes season-low point totals for Missouri Southern (52) and Missouri Western (55) along the way.

GREEN TIES CAREER BLOCK RECORD AT NORTHWEST
Sophomore
Jayna Green entered into Northwest's top-10 all-time shot blockers last season. She registered 29 blocks as a freshman before notching 33 in 2020-21. Green blocked 43 shots last season, which was good for the No. 3 spot in the MIAA. This season, Green is up to 17 blocks and has tied the all-time block record as she had two against Missouri Western.
