Northwest Missouri State University sophomore women's golfer Paige Hoffman set the program's 36-hole scoring mark with back-to-back rounds of even-par 72 at the Central Region Fall Preview held at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs, Mo.
 
Hoffman (West Des Moines, Iowa/WDM Valley HS/Univ. of South Dakota) had a share of the tournament lead with two holes to play, but finished in seventh place overall. Her rounds of 72 are tied for the fourth-best single-season rounds in Bearcat women's golf history.
 
Hoffman began Wednesday's final round on the back nine at Adams Pointe. She birdied her first hole at No. 10 and proceeded to record eight straight pars. Hoffman notched her second birdie of the day at No. 1 to move to two-under. She found herself in a tie for first place on the leader board after her third birdie of the day at No. 6. However, Hoffman scored a par on No. 7 and followed that up with a double bogey at No. 8 and a bogey on No. 9.
 
As a squad, Northwest tied for its sixth-best 36-hole team total in program history at 630. Northwest shot 318 on day one and came through with a 312 total on Wednesday.

Northwest will return to the course Sept. 12-13 at the Northeastern State Women's Golf Classic which will be held at Cherokee Springs Golf Club in Catoosa, Okla.
