Bearcats set to host Fort Hays, Nebraska-Kearney

The Northwest Missouri State soccer squad is set to play host to Fort Hays State and Nebraska Kearney. The Bearcats will start weekend play against Fort Hays State at 3 p.m. Friday, September 23. They will close the weekend against Nebraska-Kearney Sunday, September 25, at 1 p.m.

New All Time Points Leader
Kaylie Rock, a Junior forward, became Northwest Soccer's all-time points leader this past Sunday with a goal at Central Missouri. Rock has posted 43 career points with 17 goals and 9 assists. She surpassed the previous points record of 41 set by Victoria Von Mende from 2011-12.  Rock is currently 2nd in the MIAA in points this season (12) and has played two less games than all but one other player on the leader board.

The Bearcats are ranked in the top-five in three MIAA team statistical categories. Northwest ranks 1st in the conference in shots so far this season with 121. They rank 2nd in goals allowed at 4, and 4th in assists with 9.
 
MIAA Individual Statistical Leaders
Lily Ellis is 2nd in goals against average, 3rd in saves (19), 10th in saves per game (2.71), and 2nd in shutouts per game (5). Kaylie Rock is 2nd in shots (24), 5th in shots on goal (13), 3rd in assists (4), and 2nd in points (12). Hannah Stirling ranks 8th in game winning goals with 2 so far this season.
