Northwest Missouri State University sophomore
Paige Hoffman fired a second-round even-par 70 for a two-day total of 146 (+6) at the NSU Golf Classic in Catoosa, Okla.
Hoffman's even-par 70 ranks tied for the second-best score in school history and her 36-hole total of 146 ranks as the third-best in program history.
Hoffman was tied for second against the field in total number of birdies with seven and was tied for the best scoring in the field on par-5 holes (4.83 stroke average).
Hoffman began today tied for 17th, but quickly climbed the leader board after tallying four birdies on her card in the first eight holes to shoot a four under 32 on the front nine. She would fall just short of winning, finishing tied for fourth place among 84 golfers. But it was another terrific performance for the sophomore from Des Moines, Iowa.
As a team Northwest shot a 36-hole total of 653, 334 on day one and 319 on day two to finish 11th out of 15 teams.
Northwest will return to the course Sept. 26-27 in Hays, Kan., at Smoky Hill Country Club.
