ALLENDALE, Mich. – The final day of the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships was filled with All-America performances by a pair of Northwest Missouri State University student-athletes.

Junior
Dakota Schmidt (Platte City, Mo.) secured second-team All-America honors in the men's javelin. Schmidt took 11th-place with his best throw coming in the third round at 64.03m (210'1"). It is the second straight year that Schmidt has earned second-team All-America status in the javelin. He placed 12th a season ago.

Kaylee Harp (Harrisonville, Mo.) produced her first All-America effort of her collegiate career with a ninth-place tally in the women's 800-meter race. Harp ran a time of 2:11.18 in Saturday's final.

Sophomore
Reece Smith (Garner, Iowa) earned a 13th-place finish in the men's 5,000-meter race. Smith raced in a time of 14:18.97 a day after he claimed the national championship in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The Northwest men scored 10 team points and tied for No. 23 in the final team standings.Â
