MARYVILLE, Mo. - The University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos evened the series with the Northwest Missouri State University baseball team with a 7-3 decision Friday at Bearcat Field.
Central Oklahoma scored the first runs of the game with a double down the right field line to score two runners.Â
Brett Holden evened the score at 2-2 as he recorded two RBI with a double to right field.Â
Northwest took the lead in the fourth inning as
Ryan Williams scored on a wild pitch.Â
The Bronchos came back to tie it up in the fifth scoring one run on a sacrifice fly.Â
In both the sixth and eighth innings, Central Oklahoma had solo home runs to take a 5-3 lead going into the ninth.
The Bronchos added two unearned runs in the ninth and Northwest was unable to answer. Central Oklahoma won game two, 7-3.
Zach Weise took the loss pitching six innings and striking out six batters.Â
Brandin Hallier and
Alexander Lovin combined to pitch the remainder of the game.
