The Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis team has risen to No. 25 in this week's ITA national rankings.
The Bearcat men are 3-3 on the season. Northwest has scored dual wins over William Jewell, No. 46-ranked Drury and No. 43-ranked Harding. Northwest's three losses have come against No. 14-ranked Ouachita Baptist, No. 10-ranked Southern Arkansas and No. 33-ranked Cameron.
On the men's side,
Andrea Zamurri is ranked No. 8 in singles.
Franco Oliva is ranked No. 22 singles. As a doubles pair, Zamurri and Oliva are ranked No. 43 in the nation.
On the women's side,
Vera Alenicheva is ranked No. 74 in singles.
The Northwest women are 6-3 on the season.
Both squads will be in action at home Saturday at 2 p.m. against Augustana University on the Frank Grube Courts as the Rosewell Tennis Center. The teams will head to Kansas City Sunday at 9 a.m. to take on McKendree University at the Plaza.
