The Bearcat quartet of freshman
Chloe Saenz, sophomore
Tiffany Hughey, redshirt freshman
Jaedy Commins and redshirt freshman
Bailey Blake bested their previous time by 0.35 seconds and earned All-America status with a sixth-place finish.
"It was an amazing run from start to finish," head coach
Brandon Masters said. "Each of the ladies brought amazing energy and ran each of their legs of the race near flawlessly. It was a lot of fun to watch them race."

Sophomore
Blake Morgan took home second-team All-America honors with an 11th-place finish in the men's high jump. Morgan missed on his first attempt of the day at 2.00m (6'6.75"), but came back and cleared the bar on his second attempt. Morgan made his next jump on the first attempt at 2.05m (6'8.75"). However, Morgan was eliminated in the third round at 2.08m (6'9.75") with three straight misses. It is Morgan's second All-America indoor honor after securing first-team status last season.
Â
"It's just one of those days when one part of the jump just didn't come together," Masters said. "Blake competed hard. It just wasn't the day for the big bars."
Â
Masters and freshman women's pentathlon competitor
Luisarys Toledo decided to hold Toledo out of today's pentathlon as she continues to deal with a lingering injury.
Â
"We decided to do a medical scratch to Lucy in the pentathlon," Masters said. "Her hamstring got really tight in yesterday's 400-meter prelims."
Â
The Bearcat women's team scored seven team points and tied for 25th in the final team standings.
