The Northwest Missouri State University women's tennis team opened its spring 2022 season with a 7-0 sweep on the road against William Jewell.

The Bearcats opened the dual by capturing all three doubles matches. Northwest got wins at No. 1 doubles from Carolina Lima De Oliveira Alexandra Dodashev (6-1), and from No. 2 doubles Vera Alenicheva and Tyffaine Pais (6-2) and from No. 3 doubles Julia Aliseda and Sofia Pignataro (6-1).

The Bearcats cruised in singles play winning 12 of the 13 sets played. Pais tallied a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 3 singles and Tessa Kwakernaak notched a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6 to lead the way.
