The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team hits the road this week to take on the McKendree University Bearcats Tuesday night in its final non-conference matchup of the season.
Northwest enters Tuesday's matchup at McKendree with a 4-5 overall record and a 0-4 record in MIAA play. McKendree enters the matchup with a 5-4 record and a 3-1 record in the GLVC.

The McKendree University Bearcats have a 3-1 advantage over Northwest in the history books. Northwest won the most recent matchup between the two teams which came December 15, 2021. This past weekend Northwest faced No. 22 Nebraska-Kearney who handed the Bearcats their third loss to a nationally ranked team this season.
Green Closing in on Block Record
Jayna Green has worked her way up to the number two spot on Northwest's all-time career blocks list. Green sits just eight blocks away from tying the record of 122 career blocks that was set by Sarah Vollertsen from 2002-04. She recorded four blocks this past weekend with three against Nebraska-Kearney and one against Fort Hays State.
