A quartet of Northwest Missouri State University defensive performers have landed spots on the 2022 D2CCA Super Region 3 football teams.

Senior defensive lineman Elijah Green (Maryville, Mo.) and sophomore defensive back Cahleel Smith (Independence, Mo.) gained first-team honors, while senior defensive lineman Zach Howard (Bolivar, Mo.) and junior linebacker Isaac Vollstedt (Iowa City, Iowa) secured second-team status.

Northwest and Washburn each had four players named to the D2CCA Super Region 3 teams - the most in the MIAA. The MIAA had 15 players named the Super Region 3 teams.
