The Northwest Missouri State University volleyball team is ranked No. 4 in this week's NCAA Division II Volleyball Central Region rankings.
The Bearcats are the top-rated team from the MIAA in the Central Region. The top three spots are occupied by NSIC schools in Wayne State (Neb.), Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota Duluth.
The top eight teams in the Central Region, including three automatic selections of conference champions from the MIAA, the Northern Sun, and the Great American Conference, will advance to the 2022 NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament next month.
Northwest has won nine straight matches and sits in first place in the MIAA standings. Northwest will wrap its MIAA regular season with home matches this week against Central Oklahoma (Wednesday, 6 p.m.) and Newman (Friday, 6 p.m.).
