The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team defeated Doane in its final exhibition game, 74-70.

Northwest was down 52-50 entering the fourth quarter. The Bearcats came back to score 24 points in the final 10 minutes of play while holding Doane to 18.

The Bearcats were led in scoring by
Peyton Kelderman who had 21 points and went 5-13 from the 3-point line.

With just over 4 seconds remaining in the game, Northwest led 72-70.
Peyton Kelderman snagged an offensive rebound and was immediately fouled which sent her to the free throw line. She knocked down both shots to give the Bearcats a 74-70 lead to secure the win.

Molly Hartnett was the second leading scorer for Northwest with 10 points to go along with eight assists.

Kelsey Fields was the third leading scorer with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Northwest tallied 39 rebounds to the Tigers 33.

Doane shot 75 percent from beyond the arc as they went 6 for 8. The Bearcats shot 32 percent from the 3-point line as they were 10 for 31.

Northwest forced 22 turnovers and scored 21 points off of them.

The Bearcats recorded 16 assists for the night.
