The Northwest Missouri State softball team hosts Central Missouri at Bearcat Softball Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Jennies are currently fifth in conference standings with a 6-4 record while the Bearcats are tenth at 3-3 after picking up two wins over Emporia State.
 
The Jennies boast two wins each over Nebraska-Kearney and Newman and a split with Northeastern State before dropping two games to nationally ranked Rogers State.
 
So far this season, the Bearcats have five players who are posting batting averages over .300 and four players with an on base percentage above .350. Kaitlyn Weis, Abby Nolte, and Olivia Daugherty also each have slugging percentages above .600.
 
The Bearcats are 62-60 all-time against the Jennies and post a 20-19 advantage over UCM in games played in Maryville. The Jennies have won the last three matchups against Northwest with the most recent being a 10-4 victory on April 23, 2019 in Maryville.
