The Northwest Missouri State soccer team finished their regular season with a 2-0 win over Fort Hays State.
Â
"It was nice to have the team finish the game with a clean sheet," said head coach
Marc Gordon. "Allowing no goals was nice. I thought we did a good job finishing the game off as Fort Hays State applied more pressure with about 15 minutes left in the game."
Â
Kaylie Rock scored the first goal for the Bearcats and
Hannah Stirling scored the second goal.
Alex Mausbach assisted both goals. Northwest had six shots on goal while Fort Hays was limited to just four shots on goal.
Â
"This was a complete team win. The girls really worked hard for one another and it was great to see them apply the things that we've been working on both defensively and in our attack," said Gordon.
