The Northwest Missouri State softball team is back in action this week for a doubleheader against Lincoln at Bearcat Softball Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Bearcats will travel to St. Joseph on Wednesday for two games against the Griffons.  
 
Northwest is 35-2 against Lincoln and a perfect 14-0 in Maryville against the Blue Tigers. Missouri Western has just a slight edge over the Bearcats, 69-60 all-time and 39-17 in games played in St. Joseph.
 
So far this season, the Bearcats have three players who are posting batting averages over .300 and four players with an on base percentage above .350. Kaitlyn Weis, Abby Nolte, and Olivia Daugherty also each have slugging percentages of .507 or above.
 
Kaitlyn Weis is currently tied for second in the NCAA Division II's active career leaders for home runs. Weis has homered 53 times, sitting behind only Brenna Busby (Cameron, 55).
