Bearcats results from David Suenram Gorilla Classic

Several Northwest Missouri State track and field athletes had the chance to compete at the David Suenram Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas, this afternoon.

Participants included the women's 4x100m and 4x400m relays, along with pole vaulter Ian Richmond and Addie Edwards

The women's 4x100m relay took fifth place in a time of 47.41 seconds while the 4x400m relay team of Tiffany Hughey, Quincy McSweeney, Randi Overkamp, and Hiba Mahgoub won their race in 3:46.39, a provisional qualifying time. The 4x400m relay team currently sits fifth in Northwest history and is the best time for the quartet so far this season.

Edwards finished eighth in the men's polevault with a mark of 4.69m while Richmond finished eleventh with 4.54m.

The Bearcats will travel to the Midwest Classic at Emporia next weekend for their next competition.
