The Northwest Missouri State track and field squads have completed competition at their first outdoor meet of the season. The Bearcats added several more impressive performances to yesterday's list of competitors.

The women's 4x100m relay team of Jaiden Linebaugh, Randi Overkamp, Lexie Gilbert, and Hiba Mahgoub took silver in 47.83 seconds. That time currently ranks 13th in Division II and first in the MIAA. The women's sprint medley relay team of Overkamp, Mahgoub, Hughey, and Quincy McSweeney took gold in 4:10.50.

Olivia Sattlefield also took silver in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.97. Lisette Perez also won the triple jump with a personal best mark of 38-02.00 and now sits at fifth in Northwest history. She also holds the best jump in the MIAA.

Dakota Schmidt rounded out individual performances with a strong finish in the men's javelin throw, taking fourth with a DII provisional qualifying mark of 210-09 (64.24m). Schmidt crushed the previous Northwest record of 208-02 that was set in 1991. Schmidt's throw also sits at eighth in Division II and fourth in the MIAA.

The Bearcats will be back on the track next weekend for the SBU Bearcat Invite in Bolivar, Missouri.
