The No. 18-ranked Northwest Missouri State University volleyball team is set to return to Topeka, Kansas, Saturday for a pair of MIAA spring matches with No. 24-ranked Central Missouri and Pittsburg State.
The Bearcats will take on the Jennies at 12 p.m., followed by a matchup with the Gorillas at 4:30 p.m. Both matches will take place at Lee Arena on the Washburn University campus.
Northwest is off to a 6-2 start, including a mark of 3-2 in MIAA North matches.
It will be Northwest's first meeting this spring with Central Missouri. The Jennies are 7-1 overall and 7-0 in MIAA South competition. UCM's only loss this spring came in a 3-1 setback vs. Central Oklahoma.
Northwest recorded a 3-0 win at Pittsburg State Feb. 20. The Gorillas are 2-5 overall and 1-3 in MIAA South matches.
The MIAA has four teams ranked in this week's AVCA Top 25. Nebraska-Kearney comes in at No. 11. Washburn is tied for No. 14. Northwest is ranked No. 18, while Central Missouri is No. 24.
