KEARNEY, Nebraska - The No. 15-ranked University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers edged the No. 17-ranked Northwest Missouri Bearcat volleyball team on Friday night in MIAA volleyball action.
The Lopers won by set scores of 25-23, 27-25 and 25-23.
Head coach
Amy Woerth provided her thoughts on the match.
"It was a pretty even match, but their offense and defense were better than ours at the end of the night," Woerth said. "We did the big things well but when it came down to the small technical details we fell short. That hurt us in the end."
Northwest is 4-1 on the season. UNK is 6-2 on the year.
The Bearcats will travel to Fort Hays State for a matchup Saturday at 3 p.m. in Hays, Kansas.
