NORTHWEST RETURNS TO BEARCAT ARENA FOR TRIO OF HOME GAMES
The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team finishes their final week of regular season games in Bearcat Arena, beginning with a makeup game against Washburn on Tuesday.

The Bearcats will look to avenge a close 41-38- loss from Saturday's game in Topeka before meeting WABC No. 12 Nebraska-Kearney and No. 8 Fort Hays State to finish out the regular season schedule.

Tip off for Tuesday's and Thursday's games are set for 5:30 p.m. while Saturday's game will tip at 1:30 p.m.
PINK OUT VS. FORT HAYS
The Northwest Missouri State men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting their annual Pink Out games on Saturday when they host Fort Hays State.
LAST TIME VS. WASHBURN
In Saturday's game against the Ichabods, Northwest started off strong defensively, holding Washburn to just 13 points in the first half and leading 22-13 at halftime. The Bearcat offense went stagnant in the second half and allowed the Ichabods to take a 35-33 lead with 5:42 left in the game. After trading baskets back and forth, the Bearcats dropped the contest, 41-38, in a game that came down to the final seconds.

ABOUT THE ICHABODS (9-10)
Senior Hunter Bentley is doing a little bit of everything, scoring 16.6 ppg and pulling down 6.4 rpg while also dishing out 50 assists and swiping 30 steals. She also ranks 13th in NCAA Division II free-throw percentage (89.7%) going 78-for-87 from the charity stripe. Junior transfer Nuria Barrientos is helping the Ichabod cause by scoring 10.5 ppg to go along with 8.3 rpg, 48 assists, and 35 steals of her own. Freshmen Aubree Dewey and Mackenzie Gamble contribute 6.5 ppg and 6.1 ppg, respectively.

LAST TIME VS. NEBRASKA-KEARNEY
In a Jan. 16 matchup in Kearney, the Bearcats dropped a 59-35 contest to the Lopers.
Molly Hartnett led Bearcat scorers with eight points, going 4-for-4 from the free throw line. UNK's Shiloh McCool led all scorers with 14 points. UNK's defense also held Northwest to scoring just 12 points in the second half in the Bearcat loss.
ABOUT THE LOPERS (17-3)
The No. 12 Lopers are led by Elisa Backes with 13.1 ppg to go along with 4.8 rpg and 21 steals on the season. Brooke Carlson averages 10.2 ppg while Klaire Kirsch is averaging 7.9 ppg and a team-high 9.1 rpg which also ranks 3rd in the MIAA.

The Lopers also rank 1st in the conference with defensive scoring, allowing just 52.7 ppg from opponents while averaging 64.9 ppg of their own.

LAST TIME VS. FORT HAYS
The Bearcats dropped a 74-49 contest to the Tigers in Hays on Jan. 14.
Mia Stillman scored 10 points to lead the Bearcat offense with
Jayna Green and
Molly Hartnett each chipping in eight points as well.

ABOUT THE TIGERS (18-2)
The Tigers rank 1st in margin of victory in the MIAA (14.3 ppg) while ranking second in scoring offense (72.5 ppg) and third in scoring defense (58.2 ppg).

Whitney Randall leads the offense with 15.8 ppg while Jaden Hobbs adds 14.9 ppg and 116 assists and 46 steals on the season. The Tigers have six players scoring at least 5.0 ppg.

HAGGARD MAKES NATIONAL IMPRESSION
Senior guard
Jaelyn Haggard ranks third among NCAA Division II active career leaders in three-point field goals made. Haggard leads all Bearcats with 252 career triples, 47 of which have come in the 2020-21 season.
