BEARCATS RE-ENTER MIAA PLAY WITH MSSU, PSU
The No. 2-ranked Northwest Missouri State University men's basketball team (12-1 overall, 5-0 MIAA) return to MIAA play in Bearcat Arena. Northwest will tangle with Pittsburg State on Monday at 7:30 p.m. following the postponement of its Saturday game vs. Missouri Southern.

STREAK OF STREAKS
Northwest enters Monday's game vs. Pittsburg State in the midst of a 10-game win streak. Northwest has had at least one 10-game winning streak in each of the last nine seasons. Northwest has also had at least one 12-game winning streak in each of the last six seasons.

MIAA WIN STREAKS
Northwest has won 21 consecutive MIAA contests entering Monday's game with the Gorillas. Northwest has won 66 of its last 68 MIAA regular season games.

Junior guard Trevor Hudgins notched his 12th career 30-point scoring game against Saint Mary.
    Hudgins posted 38 points on 13-of-19 shooting from the floor, including 11-of-17 from three-point range against the Spires.

    In his 13th season at the helm of the Bearcat program, McCollum has led Northwest to a record of 312-79.
    His winning percentage of .798 ranks No. 3 among NCAA Division II coaches and No. 6 among all NCAA Division coaches (minimum of 10 years experience).

NORTHWEST SETS SINGLE-GAME SHOOTING MARK
In its last game before the holiday break, Northwest shot a single-game school record 72.9% from the field in a 101-63 thrashing of Missouri Western.
    The Bearcats drained 35-of-48 field goals, including 20-of-25 (80%) in the second half.
    The previous school record for highest field goal percentage in a game came against Lindenwoon on Feb. 4, 2017, when the Bearcats shot 67.9% from the floor in a 89-64 victory in St. Charles, Mo.

ABREU TALLIES CAREER-HIGH OFF THE BENCH
Redshirt freshman Daniel Abreu contributed a career-high 26 points off the bench in less than 20 minutes of action in Northwest's 84-54 road triumph at Lincoln.
    Abreu went 9-of-11 from the field and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds.

HUDGINS CAPTURES 2ND MIAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After pouring in a career-high 40 points and setting the Northwest Missouri State University single-game three-point field goals made mark (11), junior point guard Trevor Hudgins has been named the MIAA's men's basketball athlete of the week.
    It is the second time this season, and ninth time in his career, Hudgins has been honored with the MIAA's top weekly honor.
    Hudgins averaged 33.0 points per game and shot 57.1% from the field, including 58.6% from three-point land in leading Northwest to a 2-0 start to MIAA play.
    Hudgins tallied a career-high 40 points and set the Northwest single-game three-point record by making 11 threes against the Hillcats. Hudgins played nearly 33 minutes against the Hillcats on Saturday and was 13-of-21 from the floor. He was 11-of-18 from three-point range. Hudgins also handed out five assists vs. Rogers State.
    On Thursday night, Hudgins scored a game-high 26 points on 7-of-14 shooting vs. Northeastern State. Hudgins made 6-of-11 three-pointers vs. NSU.
    Over the two games, Hudgins also sank all nine of his free throw attempts.

TREVOR EARNS MIAA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONORS
Junior guard Trevor Hudgins has been named the MIAA men's basketball athlete of the week.
    It is the first time this season, and eighth time in his career, Hudgins has been honored with the MIAA's top weekly honor. 
    The Manhattan, Kan., native knocked in nine three-pointers and secured his eighth career 30-point game in leading No. 1-ranked Northwest to a 78-65 win over a previously unbeaten Missouri St. Louis squad at the Hillyard Classic in St. Joseph, Mo.

BEARCATS HIT A SCHOOL-RECORD 22 THREES
Northwest sank a single game school-record 22 three-pointers in its 98-66 win over Briar Cliff.
    The previous mark of 20 had been set against Manhattan Christian on Nov. 19, 2004.
    Northwest also set its team single-game record for three-pointers attempted (41) against Briar Cliff. The previous mark of 39 was set against Emporia State on Jan. 9, 2019.
    The 22 made threes is the second-best performance this year by a Division II team. Southeastern Oklahoma State made 23 three-pointers vs. Arlington Baptist on Nov. 17.

BEARCATS ALWAYS SEEM TO BOUNCE BACK
Northwest dropped its first game of the season to Sioux Falls, 83-77, but promptly bounced back and scored a 75-52 win over Arkansas-Monticello at the Central Region Challenge held at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
    Northwest has played 204 games since last losing back to back games. Northwest's last back-to-back losses came Dec. 18/Dec. 20 2015 at Lincoln and at Lindenwood.

RARE NON-CONF REGULAR SEASON LOSS
Northwest suffered its first non-conference regular season loss for the first time in nearly six years in Sioux Falls pulled off the 83-77 victory in Kansas City.
    Prior to the loss to the Cougars, Northwest's last regular season non-conference loss came at No. 1-ranked Augustana on Nov. 19, 2015.

ABREU NETS CAREER-HIGH VS SIOUX FALLS
Redshirt freshman Daniel Abreu scored a career-high 17 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor. He was perfect at the line by making all eight free throws.

41 FREE THROW ATTEMPTS
Northwest attempted 41 free throws in its 64-59 win over No. 21-ranked Seattle Pacific. It was the most free throws attempted since also getting 41 free throw tries against Missouri Southern on March 1, 2007.
    Northwest connected on 29-of-41 at the free throw line against Seattle Pacific. Junior guard Trevor Hudgins led the way by making 15-of-16 at the charity stripe.

ONE THREE-POINTER
Northwest went 1-of-9 from three-point range in its 64-59 win over No. 21-ranked Seattle Pacific. It is the fewest made three-pointers by the Bearcats since they went 1-of-15 against Southwest Minnesota State in the NCAA Tournament on March 14, 2017.

COMING FROM BEHIND
Northwest had to climb out of a pair of deficits to defeat both No. 15 Northern State and No. 21 Seattle Pacific at the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic.
    Northern State had an eight-point first-half lead against Northwest before the Bearcats charged back. Northwest trailed by four at the half, 30-26, but stormed back with a 42-25 scoring advantage in the final 20 minutes.
    Seattle Pacific held a seven-point lead in the first half against Northwest at 12-5. Northwest used a 14-0 run to take the look and never trailed again.

SMALL COLLEGE BASKETBALL ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Northwest had both Trevor Hudgins and Wes Dreamer named to the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic All-Tournament team.
    Hudgins posted back-to-back 20-point scoring games with 22 against Northern State and 27 vs. Seattle Pacific.
