The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat football team is ranked No. 5 in the initial NCAA Division II Super Region rankings released Monday.
A trio of MIAA teams are listed in the Super Region Three rankings with Northwest at No. 5, Nebraska-Kearney at No. 7 and Washburn at No. 9. Nebraska-Kearney will play at Northwest Saturday at 2 p.m.
The top seven teams in the final Super Region rankings will take part in the 2021 NCAA Division II Playoffs beginning Nov. 20.
