JOPLIN, Mo. - The No. 6-ranked Northwest Missouri State University volleyball team turned its winning streak up to 11 with a 3-0 sweep at Missouri Southern.
The Bearcats won by set scores of 28-26, 25-11 and 25-18. Northwest is 18-2 overall and 11-1 in MIAA play.
Junior Kesley Havel paved the way offensively with a match-high 13 kills (.280).
Alyssa Rezac notched 37 assists and three kills, while running the Bearcat offense.
Northwest put together a tremendous serving effort by recording 14 service aces, including three each from
Rachel Sturdevant,
Sophie McMullen and
Kristen Ford. The 14 aces tied for the fifth-most in a three-set match in school history.
The Bearcats will be back in action Tuesday night in Warrensburg, Mo., taking on the Central Missouri Jennies.
