The Northwest Missouri State University softball team will host a pair of doubleheaders against Missouri Western and Illinois Springfield this weekend.

Northwest comes into the weekend 7-11 overall after going 4-0 in the Drury Invitational last weekend. The Bearcats posted an 11-10 win over Wayne State, a 12-7 win over Drury, a 12-4 win over Newman and a 5-1 win over Southwest Baptist.

Missouri Western is sitting at 7-8 overall on the season and Illinois Springfield is 9-4.
 
NOTES: The matchup against Missouri Western will start MIAA play for Northwest. Daugherty leads the team in batting average with a .424. She has six doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI. Weis is slugging a .355 average with four doubles, five home runs and 15 RBI. Keeney has a .295 average with three doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI.
