Softball Season Stats (PDF)

The Northwest Missouri State University softball team will travel to Springfield, Missouri this weekend to compete in the Drury Invitational Saturday-Sunday.

Saturday, Feb. 29
Wayne State vs. Northwest Missouri State | 10 a.m.
 
Drury vs. Northwest Missouri State | 2 p.m.
 
Sunday, March 1
Newman vs. Northwest Missouri State | 11 a.m.
 
Southwest Baptist vs. Northwest Missouri State | 1 p.m.

The Bearcats come into this weekend sitting at 3-11 overall on the season. Northwest went 1-4 last weekend in Emporia, Kansas at the 5-State Classic.

Northwest kicks off the Drury Invitational against Wayne State, who they saw last weekend and were dealt a 6-5 loss against the Wildcats.

The Bearcats will face their first MIAA opponent of the season Sunday when they take on the Newman Jets.
 
NOTES: Olivia Daugherty leads the team in batting average with a .396. She has five doubles, two home runs and six RBI. Sydne Brashear isn't far behind with a .391 batting average, two doubles, two home runs and seven RBI. Kaitlyn Weis is slugging a .356 average with three doubles, three home runs and eight RBI. Rachel Smith has appeared in 10 games with a 4.49 ERA and a 2-4 win-loss record.
