MIAA HOME OPENER
The Northwest Missouri State University women's basketball team (6-5) looks to win its first MIAA home opener since 2012 when they face the Northeastern State RiverHawks (4-6) this Saturday in Bearcat Arena. 

NEW FOE
Northwest will face an unfamiliar opponent in MIAA play this year. Rogers State is entering its first year in the conference this season. The Bearcats are 2-0 all-time against the Hillcats, with wins in 2012 and 2014. 

LOCKDOWN
Northwest is ranked No. 14 in the country in scoring defense by holding opponents to 52.6 points per game. Opponents have shot only 37.7% from the field against the Bearcats. 

LET FREE THROWS RING
The Bearcats rank No. 12 in the country in free throw percentage at 79.1%. The Bearcats have six players shooting 75% or higher from the charity stripe. Kylie Coleman is tops on the team having made 20-of-21 free throws (95.2%).

HEATON UP
Kendey Eaton leads the squad in scoring at 15.5 points per game. Eaton has reached double-figure scoring in eight contests and has scored 20 or more on three occasions.

DOWNTOWN DELIGHT
Northwest is No. 14 in the country in three-pointers made per game with 9.6 made per game. Jaelyn Haggard leads the team with 27 made on the year.
