NOT SO FAMILIAR FOE
In their first matchup of the weekend Northwest will take on Newman. This is Newman's first year in the MIAA. They are currently 9-11 overall and 4-7 in MIAA play. This will be the first matchup between the two programs in NCAA history.
TRYING TO BUCHK THE BRONCHOS
The Bearcats take on the Bronchos of UCO in their second game of the weekend. The Bronchos are currently ranked fourth in the conference with a 14-5 overall record, and an 8-3 record in MIAA play. Northwest defeated UCO in their lone meeting last year. That broke a 6 game losing streak for Northwest against UCO. The Bronchos lead the all-time series 6-4.

Northwest is ranked No. 29 in the country in scoring defense by holding opponents to 56.7 points per game.
LET FREE THROWS RING
The Bearcats rank No. 5 in the country in free throw percentage at 80.1%. The Bearcats have seven players shooting 75% or higher from the charity stripe.
Jaelyn Haggard is tops on the team having made 16-of-17 free throws (93.3%).
MIDDLE OF THE PACK
The Bearcats currently sit at tenth in the MIAA at 3-6. Five of the Bearcats six losses came to top six teams in the conference (Central Missouri, Fort Hays State, Nebraska-Kearney, Missouri Western, and Emporia State).
