The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team will begin the season on the road this weekend visiting Drury University and Southwest Baptist University.

Drury finished 0-16-1 overall last season and Southwest Baptist went 2-14-2. One of the losses for Southwest Baptist came in a 3-2 victory for Northwest late in the season.

"We feel confident heading in to this weekend and we know we have to score more goals. We know that Drury is a good team and that Southwest Baptist will be looking for some revenge after last season," senior captain Emily Madden said.

Northwest's first home match is Sept. 13 against Sioux Falls.
