MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team will be back in action this weekend with a pair of road matches.
The Bearcats will travel to Joplin, Missouri Friday to take on Missouri Southern and will then begin MIAA play against Central Missouri Sunday in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The Bearcats are coming off a 3-1 home loss to Central Missouri and a 2-0 road loss to Missouri Western last week.
"We learned hard lessons from those matches. We are moving forward and need to just focus on us," head coach
Marc Gordon said. "I am looking for us to be a better pass completion team and building on our possessions. I am also looking forward to the opportunity to carry what we did in the second half against Central Missouri last week into this next match with them this weekend."
Central Missouri is 5-1 overall on the season and is ranked No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
Missouri Southern is 1-5 overall and is 1-1 at home.
