MARYVILLE, Mo. – The No. 8-ranked Central Missouri University Jennies scored a 3-1 victory over the Northwest Missouri State Bearcat women's soccer team on Friday at the Bearcat Pitch.
UCM's Macy Ruffalo scored two goals in the first half to put the Jennies up 2-0 early in the game. The Jennies then scored off an own goal to end the first half up 3-0 over the Bearcats.
In the second half, Bri Wawiorka found the back of the net to cut the lead to 3-1. Taylor Wolfe assisted with the goal.
The Jennies took the win 3-1 over the Bearcats.
The Bearcats move to 1-3-1 overall and will travel to St. Joseph, Missouri Sunday to take on Missouri Western at 1 p.m.
NOTES: The Bearcats didn't concede a goal in the second half and had possession of the ball 48% of the time.
Wawiorka recorded her first goal of the season, making her the 6th Bearcat to score a goal so far this season. Kaitlyn Case leads with four. Alex Mausbach is right behind with two.
