MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat soccer team will face two MIAA rivals this weekend. The Bearcats will host Central Missouri Friday at the Bearcat Pitch and will travel to St. Joseph, Missouri, Sunday to take on Missouri Western.

The Bearcats (1-2-1 overall) are coming off a 4-0 win over Sioux Falls and a 3-2 loss to Augustana in two home matches last weekend.
"We are continuing to improve in the attacking part of the field," Northwest head coach
Marc Gordon said. "The areas we have been focusing on are on the defensive side. Although the attack has improved, we are still conceding too many goals. We are learning how to move as a group to defend better."
Freshman
Kaitlyn Case scored two goals in the win over Sioux Falls.
Madie Krueger and
Alex Mausbach each scored one.
Central Missouri is 3-1 overall and ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Missouri Western is 1-2-1 overall on the year.
